I started something new today! Who, me, start something new? Wow, what a rarity. I started the KAL for the Fingerless Gloves Fanatics group on ravelry for September. We're doing Porphyria. I love the way the gloves looked, and the pattern is well written. I am having a hard time doing the k3 into 3 that the pattern calls for. It's hard on my hands. I'm doing them two at a time on two circulars and I LOVE it. It was a little confusing at first (and I still sometimes get confused...) but I love how much I've gotten done so far. See?
There are two swaps going on right now in that group. One is the Autumn swap, in which there are two groups, one that does a glove exchange and one that does yarn and a pattern for gloves. I'm doing the second one. My partner that I'm swapping to is Tasha, and she seems really nice! I'm excited to be spoiling her. I already know what I'm getting for her! The other swap (sign-ups are still open!) is a Birthday swap. I'm hosting that one. The year will be split up into segments according to the season. (I realize that on the other side of the world it's a different season but... well... that's just how I'm doing it.) The fall sign-ups close on September 1st, and we'll be sending presents to each other. I'm really excited about that one. :) Go sign-up if you have a fall birthday. It'll be fun!
