Hi guys, just wanted to let you all know that my Betta Fish, Jack, died today. I went in to check on him and talk to him, and see if he'd give me a kiss (cause that's what he did, he'd swim right up to the glass and kiss me) and he was just gone. I looked and looked for him and he was nowhere to be found. Since his tank has a cover on it, I knew he couldn't have just jumped out. Especially because he'd just be right there on the counter or the floor, but he wasn't. He was just gone. So I started taking everything out of his tank, looking for him. See, I have an under gravel filter system, and there's this little tube that comes out from it, where you put an air hose and a little rock in it, which gives bubbles. The last time I cleaned his tank, the rock broke, and I was going to go get a new one, so I left the little tube in. He somehow swam down the tube and got under the gravel, and he died. Here's the picture of him when I first got him.
I know we'll all miss him.

(((hugs)))) I am so sorry to hear about Jack hon! Hoping you get a new bubbly, kissie fish soon!
Poor jack. Last winter we lost power in a big wind storm for a week and a half (luckily us just a week but my co-worker) It got so cold that she went into her bathroom one morning and found her beta had froze (this was 2 weeks before xmas). Her room mate found her yelling "man down, man down".Poor fish, did you hold a fishy funeral?
